The purpose of this study was to analyze the current space structure of domestic transit centers based on the requirements of actors, identify problems, suggest rational space composition for public transportation users, transit center users, and pedestrians, and ease congestion.
Among three-dimensional transit centers, the spatial scope is based on transfer centers that can transfer between urban railways and main buses, and transfer between urban railways and city buses. As a content scope, the usage behavior of facilities was analyzed by esablishing the scope of demand and space for each facility by utilizing the critera for design and placement of transfer centers and complex transfer centers. The time span was also based on press releases, existing research and statistical data for about 10 years.
