In this study, we analyzed the correlation between soda, learning, and health by examining the learning and health behaviors of teenagers according to their intake of soda. By finding the results, the study aims to recognize the impact of teenagers’ increased intake of soda on health and learning. From 2017 to 2019, 179,619 subjects were selected for the final study. The increasing intake of soda resulted in lower academic performance and less time spent learning (p<0.0001). This is also related to the result of increased use of smartphones and Internet use, not for learning purposes (p<0.0001). Also, as the intake rate of foods such as foods that did not eat breakfast or bought at convenience stores, such as caffeine, instant noodles, snacks, and fast food increased, the intake of soda also increased, which was seen as an increase in weight and height. Consumption of soda is also linked to mental health and a clue that the more depressed or suicidal, the higher the intake of sugar. The results confirmed that soda is related to adolescents’ learning and health. Therefore, it is necessary to recognize the effects and problems of carbonated drinks on youth in terms of learning and health, and to prevent harm from possible chronic diseases in advance. Thus, parents and teachers need to continue to pay attention to the amount of soda consumed by teenagers, and differentiated nutrition education is required to improve their dietary conditions.
