본 연구에서는 무와 무청에 함유된 활성 물질인 glucoraphenin과 ferulic acid의 함량을 UPLC TQ-MS system을 이용하여 정량 분석하였다. 정량 결과 무청 주정 추출물이 11,971.8 μg/g의 glucoraphenin과 851.7 μg/g의 ferulic acid를 함유하고 있어 무의 주정 추출물과 무와 무청의 물 추출물보다 높은 함량을 나타내었다. 3T3-L1 세포를 이용한 지방세포분화 억제 시험에서도 무청 주정 추출물이 100 ppm 농도에서 세포독성 없이 유의적인 지방세포분화 억제효과를 보였고, 이는 무청 물 추출물이나 무 추출물보다 가장 높게 나타났다. 따라서 무청 주정 추출물은 향후 활성 성분을 다량 함유한 기능성 식품소재로서 활용될 가능성이 높을 것으로 사료된다.
