Wang Guowei has a very high attainments in Chinese Sinology, his well-known works are: 『Hongloumeng Review』 in Suzhou in 1904, 『RenJian CiHua』 in Beijing in 1908, 『Song and Yuan Opera examination』 in Japan in 1913, 『GuanLinTangJi』 in Beijing in 1923, and 『The New Evidence of Ancient History』 in Beijing in 1925. All of those enjoy high reputation. He is also known as the bridge between the New School and the Old School, the end of China"s academic in the past 300 years, the founder of academic in the past 80 years, and the pioneer of modern literature and modern aesthetics.
Liang Qichao, a political and ideological educator in modern China, evaluated Wang Guowei as "a scholar not only owned by China, but also by the whole world". Liang Qichao himself is the theoretical advocator of the Chinese modern literature revolution movement. He has a very profound research and unique views on the old and new Chinese literature.
Lu Xun, a famous Chinese literary thinker, commented on Wang Guowei: "there is a piece of『LiuShaZhuiJian』in China, which will be printed for ten years. If we want to talk about Chinese learning, it can be regarded as a Book of studying Chinese learning. There is a long preface at the beginning, which was made by Mr. Wang Guowei. If we want to talk about Chinese learning, he can be regarded as a person who studies it.
Wang Guowei, a respected and respected Master of Chinese studies, chose to commit suicide in the summer palace at the age of 51. Leave a poem of 『Luo Hua』 by Chen Baochen for later generations to ponder the reasons for all this.
