I first noted how Chosun's reading records existed in various ways throughout the prior and later periods, with the aim of examining the flow and transition of the Chosun Dynasty's reading records with a focus on the differentiation and ideological transformation of the style. In the course of the process, the process of the introduction of the Seol-seon into Chosun in the 16th century and the reaction of the Chosun literati and academia of the time were noticeable. I have noted in two main respects the influence of the Sixteenth Century Chosun Literature and the Book of Reading in the academic world. First, it adopted the form of reading and brought about the stylistic differentiation of reading records. Second, the book reveals the ideological change in reading records, forming a discourse on the character Seol-seon and his writing. Therefore, I specifically looked at the two effects of Seol-seon’s reading books in the late Chosun Dynasty. As a result, we found that the first influenced the variation of the style of reading records in the late Chosun Dynasty in terms of formality. Second, it was also discovered that Chosun literati had influenced the ideological change of reading records as the assessment of Seol-seon’s reading books was changed from thought to thought.
