Cruise tourism is the most fast growing sector of the international travel and leisure industry. Cruise industry contributes greatly to the local and regional economy, however due to its mobility it is the main environmental pollution in city region. This study attempted to reveal the current situation of environmental pollution caused by cruise ship and international and regional regulation for reducing negative externality such as waste water, air pollution and sewage. The study tried to systematically suggest how to reduce environmental pollution among stakeholders in the cruise industry. As a result, it is suggested that government policies should focus on monitoring the air and waste pollutants from cruiseship and establishing a systematic environment management practice not only from the host port perspective but also Northeast Asia regional perspective for achieving the sustainability of cruise industry.
