The purpose of this study is to suggest the importance of seeds as an educational material for biodiversity and to conduct awareness survey of elementary school students related with seeds. For this study, I developed a seed-related content analysis frame and questionnaire for biodiversity education and explored ways to develop biodiversity education by comparing and analyzing the results of the awareness survey with the revised 2015 elementary education curriculum. The analysis was able to derive the most significant results and implications from the ’area of interaction between seed and human’. Providing students with the opportunity to explore social phenomena related with seeds will help them recognize the Seed-to-human interaction. In the future, the development of a curriculum to continue to discover meaningful educational materials related with biodiversity education and to promote students’ awareness of biodiversity should continue.
