This study focuses on ‘Inner Child’ in western counselling and ‘The Heart of Child’ in Yang-Ming studies, and it proposes the way to enhance our ability for self-fulfilment encountering the resource of ‘Child’ in ourselves.
Furthermore, the aim of this study is to rediscover the value of ‘the heart of child’ in Yang-Ming studies by reinterpreting ‘The Heart of Child’ through comparing it with ‘Inner child’.
This research enables us to understand and approach to ‘Liang-chih’ and ‘The Heart of Child’ which are spiritual root given by Nature, which was difficult even for students of Wang Yang-Ming at that time.
Additionally Lee Tak-oh’s reinterpretation of ‘Er’yan’ as a pure heart that broke off the lie is seen as a language of true life and an expression of unpretentious and honest need. Here, it emphasized the importance of distinguishing between the desire that cling to certain means and methods to fulfill the needs and the need through which the will of life is expressed through us.
The point is to achieves the concrete method for ‘Embodiment of Liang-chih’ as the ways of Wang Yang-Ming’s studies.
Since we don’t have concrete method or access to ‘Embodiment of Liang-chih’ like ‘Liang-chih’ yet, this research enables us to find ways to recover innate vitality and inborn wholeness through ‘The Heart of child’ which is to be revealed in this study.

본 연구는 서양 심리상담의 ‘내면아이’와 양명학의 ‘동심’에 대한 연구를 중심으로 성인이 된 우리 안의 ‘아이’라는 자원과 만나 생명과 자기실현에 대한 우리의 감각을 키우고 확장하는 구체적인 방법을 제안하고자 하는 것이다. 나아가 본 연구는 내면아이와의 비교를 통해 양명학의 동심을 현대적으로 재해석하여 그 철학적 자산으로서의 가치를 재발견하고 그 활용가능성을 새롭게 끌어내는 것에 연구의 목적이 있다. 이 과정에서 ‘하늘이 심어준 영명한 뿌리[靈根]’로 사람이라면 누구나 지니고 있지만, 왕양명의 당대 제자들조차 이해하기 힘들었던 양명학의 골수인 ‘양지(良知)’를 ‘동심’과 연동시켜 풀어냄으로써 누구나 이해할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 누구나 쉽게 접근할 수 있게 한다. 그리고 이탁오가 거짓을 끊어낸 순수한 진심이라고 재해석한 ‘이언(邇言)’을 동심과 닿아있는 진실한 삶의 언어이자 가식 없고 솔직한 욕구(need)의 표현으로 본다. 여기서 생명의 의지가 우리를 통해서 표현되는 욕구와 욕구를 총족시키기 위한 특정한 수단과 방법에 집착하는 욕망(desire)의 구별이 중요하다는 것을 강조한다. 이 점은 왕양명의 공부법인 ‘치양지(致良知)’에 대한 구체적인 방법을 확보하는 것과도 연결된다. ‘양지’와 마찬가지로 ‘치양지’ 또한 현대인에게는 구체적인 방법론이나 접근성을 갖지 못하고 있다. 본 연구를 통해 드러난 구체적이고 실질적인 안내자인 동심으로 인해 본래의 생명력을 회복하고 타고난 온전함을 회복하는 자기실현을 돕는 치양지의 방법들을 더욱 쉽게 찾을 수 있을 것이다.
