Today, local governments are under increasing financial burden. In such a difficult financial situation of local autonomous entities, the necessity of analyzing the finances and running the finances soundly and efficiently based on the results is further raised. The purpose of this study is to grasp the financial status of counties in Jeollabuk- do through the financial efficiency and fiscal soundness index. Moreover suggested that local governments should make efforts to manage their finances. As a result of the analysis, the strategies that need to be improved and focused on the financial management of each municipality have some differences. It seems that municipalities of Jeollabuk-do county generally need macro-efforts to improve financial operational problems such as integrated financial balance, local tax revenue ratio, and local subsidy ratio.
