The poetry of Chen Mengjia lyrically embodies the painful life of people during the period of revolution. The “wild flower”, which symbolizes the public of the era, implies the features of the public and his sincere presentation of life and self. Through his depiction of the public, he shows how people suffered at that time, drawing the nature of the people. Being aware of the power of the public, he regards the public as an entity of having the capability of overcoming the adversities and suggests a new hope for the public. The patriotic image of people reflected in “wild flower” shows his affection and care for people suffering from periodic and social factors, resulting in the subject of his poem to be standing at the starting line towards restoration. Chen Mengjia’s father was a paster. The religious backgrounds from Chen Mengjia’s family brought obvious dedication characteristics to his poetry. His dedication characteristics deeply influenced his mind setting and logic of language. He has great dedication to his public. The poetry of Chen Mengjia’s most important creative period embodies harsh realities of life and a self-respecting, revolutionary idea, life consciousness and fateful consciousness. People was recovered from his poetry.
