This study starts with the problem that two dominant strands of research regarding Lee Tae-jun"s literature have been treated as mutually exclusive discourses. In particular, although traditionalism and syntactic theory are building their own realm of each other, enough points can be found. Therefore, this study attempts to clarify the linguistic attempt of Lee Tae-jun"s novelism from a stylistic viewpoint.
In "Paeganglang" and "Sunset," the author was found to have used color schemes, paradigm vocabulary, and negative sentences, and to have described the opposing worldview based on the image of the straight line and the curve. In particular, the stylistic features that describe the present visual image that reveals the anti-modern worldview, and reveals the value of tradition therein, make the present and the past parallel to understand, and eventually seek to enjoy traditionalism as an object of description. I tried to find out that it was the self-rescue of the bay. On the basis of these points, it is hoped that the gap between Lee Tae-jun"s theories of literature with exclusivity can be bridged.
