Literature is material that makes it possible to convey academic knowledge beyond time and space. If one uses incorrect material to study, the result may well be a house of cards. Therefore, it should be assured that literature that is used to study has purity and justification. That is, to say philology is the subject that pursues the purity and justification of literature. I have asked myself what is literature and searched for the answer all my life. This is the framework of methodology to set up the system of Korean philology. As a result, I came to establish a unique knowledge system of philology. I divided the knowledge system of philology into word management parts and study management parts. There are six word management parts: philological morphology, the theory of organized compilation, the theory of printing technique, the theory of record aspect, the theory of storage and preservation and the theory of philological nature. The study management parts are the theory of background circulation, the theory of change transmission, the theory of distinguishing truth, the theory of the original criticism, the theory of translation and footnotes, the theory of philological aesthetic etc. Yet I believe there is an answered task and several questions that should be called into doubt. I came to be conclusion that I can't find any new appropriate method to approach these studies that is suitable for me. When I ask myself to recognize the literature made of these 12 parts, the theme or the substance will be revealed. Accordingly, substituting 12 parts of the literature in text study can be one way to proceed. I want to emphasize that there is no loyal road, so one should develop one's own questioning and answering methods.
