In 「One Sixth of the World」it was reflected ideal features of Soviet Russia in early Soviet period. 「One Sixth of the World」 - a advertizing film for the Soviet Union. In this film it is emphasized equality of social realism in contrast with unequal capitalism, Soviet Russia appeared as a developed, cultural country under the new regime, and people of many republics become the owner of the large territory. Such were the things, which imagined the soviet government as identity of Soviet Russia. There are many critical views about 「One Sixth of the World」. In this film existed the problem of imperialism, which had many travel cinema in early period of history of film. But arguments over the film conversely shows the possibility of many different interpretations. So this film has possibility of ‘dialog’, which make the continuous argument about the identity of Soviet Russia with modern critics. 「One Sixth of the World」 as a travel cinema obtained contemporaneity in the world of today. Vertov successfully caught the ethnic images around the vast space of Soviet Russia throughout the film. These images of film predict 21century, when the whole world became one. In this respect the problem of identity of Soviet Russia get more crucial meaning in nowadays when the problem of ‘globalisation’ and ‘localization’ becomes topical subject.
