Malaysia is a country where several groups of people live together with their own ethnic cultures, thus, it is ‘the plural society’ where people can not easily interact with each other due to its high barrier among tribes. From 1824 to 1957, the United Kingdom had ruled the Malay peninsula, northern Sarawak, Sabah and Singapore, the colonial government conducted ‘secessionism’ on these places. As far as I am concerned, Malaysia has been left to take the consequences, so far, the government has been striving to resolve issues that would guarantee equality for the various parties and the right to political and social statement as well. Most of the single races are being fought to restore the activities of MCP(Malayan Communist Party) as part of their own history, although MCP’s activities have become a taboo in the history of Malaysia, however, Ng Kim-chew who is one of the Ethnic Chinese writers maintains a critical position over these issues. I examine in this article that Ng published his book after a long absence, which is Memoranda of the Nanyang People’s Republic, he described a fictional reconstruction of the MCP’s history, consisting a collection of 11 separate stories. Ng used a meta-fiction narrative examining whether there is a fundamental consideration to the discussion of ‘exclusion and separation of races’ planted by the colonists in the Communist heritage of Malaysia or not. In addition, the reconstructive attitude to describe the lives of each Communist Party who is not fully united as one can play a role in creating a fixed identity of the people who have lived in Malaysia. Moreover, Ng reenacts historical facts as fictional story, he intentionally made confusion satirical fictional context as the true story, he invites skepticism to face the contemporary narrative of the historical reversals and traditions of real-life figures on the publishing market. Ng addresses the historical issues through these literary techniques by looking at the concept of “the thing-in-itself” just because he did not want for the Chinese Malaysian society to be bound to its identity problems but to face the reality of sensitive history itself, so that he wanted to draw in more participation from the public.
