As you know, “Korea-China FTA” and “Korea-China-Japan FTA” urges that Korea and Japan should restart their governmental FTA negotiation. That is why “Korea-China FTA” will be put in force soon and Korea-China-Japan FTA will be propelled to attain to the basic principle of ‘more comprehensive, higher level of liberalization rate and mutual beneficial FTA.’ The important issue in concluding “Korea-China-Japan FTA” successfully is just withdraw of NTMs in view of the fundamental reason which “Korea-Japan FTA” was stopped suddenly 12 years ago. This paper aims at making a greater contribution toward upgrading FTA negotiation capacity with Japan. by proposing some evidential materials which Japanese NTMs (import regulations) affects negatively on Korean export industry to try to have an access to Japan’s market. For drawing evidential material on Japanese NTMs, the author analyzed Japanese NTMs related several models researched by mainly UNCTAD. That is why UNCTAD is an international organization which is implementing the deepest research on NTMs all over the world.
