The purpose of this research is to appreciate the state of broadcasting production staff’s job burnout (exhaustion, cynicism, reduced professional efficacy) and that of role stress (role overload, role conflict and role ambiguity), job insecurity as the environmental characteristics and self-efficacy as a individual characteristics. Ultimately, this research tries to identify the impacts of their role stress, unstable employment and self-efficacy on burnout. The survey was carried out for broadcasting companies. The number of total subjects is 343. The results of degree analysis about main variables are as follows: 1) role stress level is a little high. 2) job insecurity level is below middle. 3) self-efficacy level is above middle. 4) the overall level of burnout is below middle. According to the results of regression analysis, 1) role overload positively impacts on exhaustion and reduced professional efficacy. 2) role conflict positively impacts on cynicism and reduced professional efficacy. 3) role ambiguity positively impacts on all factors of burnout. 4) job insecurity partially and positively impacts on burnout. 5) self-efficacy negatively impacts on all factors of burnout. To decrease their burnout, the decrease of their role stress and the increase of self-efficacy are needed.
