This paper researched the effects of outdoor activities with 22 teachers through the ‘Field Training Course for Elementary School Teachers with Birdwatching Program at Waeyoundo, in Chungchungnam province. Team birdwatching activities were done three times, and the activities were discussed afterwards. After activities, the training was rated on 3 categories : change in attitudes for nature(54.5%), knowledge accumulation(22.7%) and inquiry method acquisition(22.7%). Attitude about science didn't change, but belief about the environment and self-confidence in class were strengthened. In the Inquiry attitude fields, there were increased interest and willingness to practice. Also, they thought outdoor activities were valuable and useful. Therefore, these activities had a positive effect on spirit of inquiry. All of the teachers desired the deep subject training course. Therefore, it should continue, and special subject study areas of teacher training courses should increase, to deepen subject knowledge.
