For this study, six kinds' Biology Ⅱ textbooks which passed the Ministry of Education's inspection based on the 7th educational curriculum were analyzed. Our study showed that 1) the contents of Biology Ⅱ textbooks are consist of the purpose of classifying, the concepts of species and their scientific name, the classifying methods and criteria, taxonomic level and phylogenetic tree and the classification of life. It's been thought that the elements presented by the educational curriculum are sufficiently reflected for such formation.: 2) The numbers of species in 7th textbooks are average 177 kinds, these are increased compare to 6th textbooks, but species from the animal kingdom are presented more than other kingdoms.: 3) The classification system in all textbooks was five-kingdom system, but there were differences between each textbooks in the classification system of prokaryotes, the plant kingdom and the animal kingdom.These results indicate that the discord of the textbooks contribute to misconceptions among teachers, and subsequently among students. Therefore we suggest to consider the following two aspects in the forthcoming 8th curriculum: 1) With considering that the textbooks affect on designing of ideal educational curriculum very deeply, detail guide line is necessary about presenting terms or classification system and classification criteria when new educational curriculum is designing. 2) It is necessarily to discuss and study whether the classification system about the archaebacteria should be set up in the textbooks or not.
