Lee Mirok was successful in literally composing Korean cultural identity in German. In particular, Lee's novel made Western readers understand the identity of Korean culture in an easy style, which was widely appreciated. The autobiographical elements, the narrative situation based on his childhood memories confirmed his identity through his novel. The memories structured in his novel are those of the colonized aboriginal boy. In this point, it is collective memory against the dominant narrative. Lee must be remarked as a writer who created the cultural country Korea as a new utopia for making sick Europa after World War bettter world expierenced in his youth, where Confucianism, Buddhism and Shamamism are harmonized. In this point Lee Mirok can be compared to Hesse and Döblin who adopted Eastern thought in their works as expressionist Utopia to reform the absurd society of Europa after two world Wars as a writer of world literature.
