This study is intended to analyze and interpret Korean oral-narratives in view of misogyny. It contains analysis and critics of various strategies and aspects of misogyny in Korean oral-narratives, and proposal of expending comprehension of the meaning of misogyny in the academic field of Korean classic literature. Misogyny cannot be interpreted to mere hatred of disgust toward females by males. It is to be figured out on various levels, and in a broad sense. In view of gender-critics, the misogyny is a logic, a strategy, and a matrix of discourse concerning with gender norms and gender normalization. And it is a social mechanism of subjectivation producing gender subjects. When the gendered subjects are made of the effects of narration and performance of oral narratives, the misogyny is to work as a core discoursive strategy for subjectivation through regulating the normal body and sexuality. In Korean oral-narratives, the misogyny is presented that the female is a representation of the abjection. In the sense of misogyny, the image of female is figured out ‘not male’: what is not correspond with norm of male, what is not belong to characteristics of male, and what is not to be approved by homosexual community. Second, the misogyny is the strategy to make invisible objects of females in the society. So the females are considered that they don’t and cannot exist though they clearly exist in the real world. Last, the misogyny contains strategy to justify the otherized and the logical exclusion in narratives.
