Having a unique position as a Mahayana Parinirvana Sutra, Daebanyubangyunghubun(Dabanniepanjinghoufen, Daebanyubangyunghubun in Korean corresponds to Dabanniepanjinghoufen in Chinese. 大般涅槃經後分) is noted to have had a significant impact on Seokbosangjeol(釋譜詳節). The reason that the description of Seokbosangjeol was based on that of Daebanyubangyunghubun lies in the range and contents of the Sutra. In other words, Daebanyubangyunghubun is the only one which describes Buddha's Nirvana as a whole and tells us the circumstances of the occasion. And Seokbosangjeol is said to be founded on the sublimation and faith of Buddha. The characteristics of it could be harmonized with the compilation of Seokbosangjeol aiming at the public. Daebanyubangyunghubun contains many developed elements that are different from those of the early Parinirvana Sutras. Based on the contents of the Sutras, the author shortened the stories or created new ones for its purpose. The difference seems to proceed from the Youxingjing(遊行經) and Youbuluzashi(根本說一切有部毗奈耶雜事). With these new developments, Daebanyubangyunghubun maximized the compassion and supernatural powers of the Buddha in the story, ultimately targeting the Sarira faith. The narrations where Buddha's great compassion are clearly displayed are the story of the golden body, gold coffin flight, 3 sermons during the process of death, etc.. His life is for the sake of all creatures. He has only compassionate aims. His deeds are entirely expedient. These thoughts of Daebanyubangyunghubun is founded on the idea of Dharmakaya, Daebanyubangyunghubun especially emphasizes on the construction of Buddha statues, pagodas and Buddha offerings. The reason why Buddha statues have to be made is that it is like the alive Buddha. And Buddha said that after He died there must be something which people would believe in and worship as a substitute of Him. Daebanyubangyunghubun is thought to be a collection compiled to explain the interpretation of Buddha's Nirvana and the beginning and rationale of Sarira faith. It can be told from the Buddha’s last speech. The new and discriminatory descriptions of Daebanyubangyunghubun are developed in Seokbosangjeol. Buddha in Seokbosangjeol is the savior that ultimately transforms into a religious god. The originality of Seokbosangjeol is shown in the cosmic signs of Buddha's Nirvana, and Buddha being as a person of secular ethics, and as the object of absolute faith.
