Recently the exchanging of government, economy, culture and arts have been expanding between Korean and Turkey. With these reasons, the Korean's believe it is very important for Turkish literary pieces to be presented to Koreans for us to understand about Turkey.
It is clear that the Turkish literature has been introduced to Korea later than others. However, if we compare it with other third world country literature pieces that have been introduced to Koreans over the past 10 years, the Turkish literary pieces are definitely getting a much vivacious reaction from Korean readers. Furthermore this positive outcome is a result from the leading Korean publishers who are actively introducing Turkish literature. High standard works from Turkey has been introduced to the Korean readers and we look forward for these two countries to mutually understand and be closer through literature. We consider that more support and strenuous effort is required in order to introduce the Turkish literature to other countries.
