Normally people used to perceive animation as the cartoon or movie for children. But since the demand for it is keep increasing, it should be the literary work which have various genres just like other movies.
Tim Burton is the representative auteurisme director. This study researched the full length stop motion animation of Tim Burton’s 〈The Nightmare Before Christmas〉(1993) and 〈Corpse Bride〉(2005) about their narrative structure, character, and the color sense to find out the oeuvres of the Tim Burton’s. As a result, it was able to find out that Tim Burton constitute one’s oeuvres with instructive story, narration, and fantastical element to have fairytale like narrative structure and mainly have characters which do not have strength or being isolated by the society. Because of these factors, there were many expressionistic characters, and accord such characters the duplicity by having characteristics that do not meet their appearance. It was able to deduct that he is delivering one’s message through such settings and characters of different colors within backgrounds and characters on his works.
Such differences clearly distinguish two backgrounds and explain characteristics of them.
