Modern Chinese preposition ‘跟’ and ‘和’ have very similar meanings, and there are common and functional similarities and differences. In this paper, we examine the syntactic and semantic characteristics of the preposition ‘跟’ and ‘和’, and examined the common points and differences of the two preposition.
First, we examined the status of use of each semantic item in the corpus to analyze the semantic characteristics of the initials ‘跟’ and ‘和’ and found that ‘跟’ has a strong target and ‘和’ has a relatively large distribution of meaning of joint statement and co-operativeity. In addition, through the sources of ‘跟’ and ‘和’ and the linguistic process and combination relationship, the two companies were analyzed for differences in direction.
Second, the analysis of the textbooks on the market and the analysis of the textbooks reveal that the distinction and explanation of the parts of speech for the conjunction ‘和’ and ‘跟’, preposition ‘和’ and ‘跟’.
Finally, we discussed the phenomenon that the ‘跟’ and ‘和’ corresponded with Korean ‘-와(과)’.
