The purpose of this study is to analyze on the tendency of the study in Journals issued by Korean Society of Leisure and Recreation(KSLR), and to provide objective information and basic materials, which can make leisure study come into the scientific field of study. The subjects were the journals which were carried by Korean Society of Leisure and Recreation(KSLR), and especially the journals issued since 1992 were taken as we intended to study on current tendency of in this field of study. For completing the purpose of this study, we performed the frequency test according to the standard of detail as we divided, and used SPSS 10.0. The results of this study is as follow: 1) The topics and contents vary. The study focused on leisure is continually increasing, which means people`s interests throughout entire society are getting bigger, and the diversity in a leisure study and subjects prove that leisure study includes synthetic field of study. In particular, economic development and the promotion in leisure recognition and level of people`s life brought people`s high interests, and as a result, the amount of journal of KSLR has increased. However,; it is regretful that leisure study is not secured as a theological field of study and the study which is conducted by national level is being decreased. 2) The subjects and objects vary. However, as we consider the frequency of the objects in these journals, many journal had chosen relatively easy objects to perform a study. Therefore, in leisure study, minority or others who belong to special class should be more vigorously taken as a subject and object of a study, which can bring the development of the leisure study. 3)Leisure studies being issued by KSLR have been so much focused on survey and documents research. Leisure study is surly a synthetic field of study. Therefore, for development of the leisure study, variable study methods should be adopted, and variable statistical methods and writing style should be used. As a result of these effort, leisure study could be more desirable field of study. 4) we found that there are common points between topic and subject between each study, which shows that there soon will be a cooperation among these fields of study. Of course, many scholars have already warned the danger of narrow research on leisure study, therefore, co-work or inter-study between each field should be performed more objectively as soon as possible so that it could make leisure study as a more meaningful and prospective field of study.
