The purpose of this study to find out the effect which the education of Dance Sport has on the development of high school students sociality. I conducted this study, based on previous studies and theories. The subjects of this study were divided two groups: 40 male and female students of S High School in Seoul were selected as the experimental group and 40 male and female students of S High School in Seoul were selected as the control group, consisting of 80 student all told. The subjects were given Dance Sport lessons, 3 a week, for 4 months. For this study, the questionnaires used here were Sociality Questionnaire consisting of 60 questions on sociality, 12 questions on activity, 12 questions on achievement motive. The data collected in this study were used to get each Mean and Std Dviation of the experimental group and the control group and ANCOVA were implemented to compare the difference between two groups. The results of this study are as follows: first, the was meaningful difference in sociality between the group participating in Dance Sport lesson and the control group, by showing F=24.293, p<.000. The result showed that the group who participated in Dance Sport lesson has higher sociality than the group who did not. Therefore, the education of Dance Sport had an influence of sociality. second, The difference in the development of Sociality between male and female students of the experimental group. third, There was meaningful difference in the sub-factors of sociality between the group taking part in Dance Sport lesson and the group, except self-control(p<.05). Therefore the education of Dance Sport had an effect on the development of the sub-factors of sociality. In conclusion, we could see that the education of Dance Sport had an influence on the development of sociality. The Dance Sport, which have direct interaction with partner, are helpful not only for physical fitness but also for the development of sociality.
