The purpose of the study is to investigate the influence of dance major student’s dance emotional intelligence and narcissistic personality on dance flow. Participants for this study were 139 dance major students in Daegu Metropolitan city and Gyeongbuk province areas. For the statistical analyses, correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis were used. The emotional expression sub-factor of dance emotional intelligence had significant influence on four sub-factors (self-objective experience, the integration of activity, cognition, hypnosis-similar state, and achievement, self-confidence feelings) of dance flow. The self-absorption/self-admiration sub-factor of narcissistic personality had significant influence on three sub-factors (self objective experience, the integration of activity & cognition, and hypnosis-similar state) of dance flow. The exploitation/entitlement sub-factor of narcissistic personality and the emotional utilization sub-factor of dance emotional intelligence as well as the emotional expression sub-factor of dance emotional intelligence and the self-absorption/self-admiration sub-factor of narcissistic personality had influences on the hypnosis-similar state sub-factor of dance flow. The emotional expression & emotional utilization sub-factors of dance emotional intelligence and the superiority/arrogance sub-factor of narcissistic personality had significant influences on the achievement and self-confidence feelings sub-factor of dance flow. For male students, the emotional expression of dance emotional intelligence and the self-absorption/self-admiration of narcissistic personality had significant influences on the self-objective experience & the integration of activity of dance flow. Furthermore, the emotional utilization of dance emotional intelligence and the exploitation/entitlement of narcissistic personality had significant influences on the hypnosis-similar state of dance flow. The exploitation/entitlement of narcissistic personality had significant influence on the achievement and self-confidence feelings of dance flow, For female students, the emotional expression of dance emotional intelligence and the self-absorption/self-admiration of narcissistic personality had significant influences on the self-objective experience and the hypnosis-similar state of dance flow. The emotional regulation of dance emotional intelligence had also significant influence on the hypnosis-similar state of dance flow .The recognition of other’s emotion of dance emotional intelligence and the self-absorption/self-admiration of narcissistic personality had significant influences on the integration of activity and cognition of dance flow. Furthermore, the emotional expression and emotional utilization of dance emotional intelligence and the superiority/arrogance of narcissistic personality had significant influences on achievement and self-confidence feelings of the dance flow. In conclusion, dance emotional intelligence and narcissistic personality have significant influences on dance flow and the influences which dance emotional intelligence and narcissistic personality have on dance flow are different according to gender.
