The philosophy and the content have been changed and advanced from the phonics approach which is contrasted with the whole language approach on the basis of constitutional view to the present balanced approach in reading textbook originated from the mutualism and behaviorism. It is emphasized that the balanced enforcement of the phonics approach accentuating to teach the phonemics recognition, the art of word identification, the rule of consonants and vowels and the total linguistics approach which should be carried out for reading, writing, hearing, and speaking through the literature.
During the changing steps of this linguistic education it has been introducing computers as the media in the field of education to the children among the computing environment and the necessity of high quality programs has requested.
We have made an analysis of two softwares, which are the Baily"s Book House and Stanley"s Sticker Story developed for emphasizing linguistic education.
Especially in the Baily"s Book House it can be found a lot of the balanced language approach elements, and the phonics approach has shown in the Stanley"s Sticker Story though the contents are composed of the whole languate approach-centered method.
