The aged problem in the traditional agricultural society was not almost existed. It was much more because of our country especially belongs to the Confucian cultural zone under which the three bonds and the five moral rules in human relations. However, the economic development plans which have been regularly promoted since 1960s were accelerated industrialization and urbanization, and these results had not less affirmative aspects to contribute to improve the income level of the nation but to the contrary, the society had no way to be confronted to the aged problem as appear because of the point difficult to be adjusted to the living style newly deployed for the ageds who are accustomed with the traditional social norms and such living styles by much changing in the consciousness mechanism and living style of the people. The aged problem is a very much comprehensive matter and therefore, to understand this the multiple sciences approach is necessary. In the population science the numerical increase of ageds as subordinate populace due to extension of averaged life is the problem and, in the family relations science the weakening in aged supporting functions by children as to be brought by family disassembling process is to be problem and, in the sociology they treat the aged question is as a social problem and, in the welfare related science they focus how to satisfy the lacked desire of the ageds. In general, the problem of aged is summarized by poverty, disease, solitude or loss of roles and so on. However, these aged problems may not be regarded as necessarily take place commonly by all the ageds but the many groups of ageds society have the problems as a whole we may prescribe this as the aged problem. Since the scope of concept of the aged problem is very much broad sense and there is timely limitation in dealing with the entirety and therefore, I will try to strictly limit to the important matters only as instituted within the family group under this article.
