The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of swimming and combined exercises for 32-week on body composition, testosterone and growth hormone of pre-pubescent elementary school boys. A total of thirty boys who live in Jin-gu, Busan metropolitan city participated the experiment. There were 10 in swimming exercise group (11.0±1.1 yrs), 10 in combined exercise group (10.7±0.8 yrs) and control group (11.6±0.8 yrs), respectively. Both swimming exercise group and combined exercise group were trained for an hour at three times a week for 32-week. For the statistical analysis, SPSS Ver. 21.0 was used to get mean(M) and standard deviation(SD). One-way ANOVA was applied to confirm the homogeneous test for physical character and dependent variable among 3 groups. To verify mean difference of 3 groups, two-way repeated measures ANOVA was used. If interaction appeared, changes within 3 groups was analyzed by using one-way ANOVA for the periods. The statistical significance level was set at .05. According to the research, when it comes to elementary school boys in 11-13, the exercise that has an affect on %fat of body-composition is not control group and swimming exercise group but combined exercise group. Therefore, moderate-vigorous intensity combined exercise including resistance training and aerobics exercise is recommended to the pre-puberty as to have a positive affect on %fat.
