Kim Chun-su participated in many conversations. In these conversations, he talked about the internal truths that had not been revealed in his poetry and prose. In a conversation, dialogues are conducted in relation to the other person. From this point of view, it can be seen that these dialogues provided an opportunity for Kim Chun-su to objectify and look back on himself. Based on these facts, this paper aims to provide more intimate understanding of the literature and life of Kim Chun-su. His view of poetry is based on a thoroughly professional perspective. His statement that the Greatest Poet in the history of Korean poetry has yet to emerge is a reflection of this attitude. Kim Su-young is the one who give him the most significant motivation. It can be seen that the competitive consciousness of Kim Su-young played a big role in the background of his pursuit of meaningless poetry. What is new in the relationship between his work and foreign literature is that he was very interested in the Japanese poets and intellectuals. On the topic of his political participation of the 5th Republic, he frankly confessed what was difficult to say in the writings. Finally, he makes a statement without hesitation about his writing activities, revealing his longing for his wife left in these conversations. Through these conversations, we have the opportunity to identify the various direct and indirect factors that contributed to his poetic writing in his later days.
