This article attempts to show the history of biotechnology and reveal scientist’s ethics in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. We analyzed the scientific possibilities mentioned in the preface of this novel. It was written in the preface that the fictitious events taking place are not outside the realm of possibility supposed by Dr Darwin, and some of the physiological writers of Germany. This novel can be discussed in the 3 different narrative levels of Walton, the scientist Victor Frankenstein who created monster, creature Monster. The aim of this article is to study biotechnology problems and scientist’s responsibility according to the principles of German forensic philosopher Arthur Kaufmann. As a result of the analysis of this article, this article specifically shows the ethical aspects that scientists should take their responsibilities very seriously in the creation of life.
