On this occasion, the society and researchers related to the history of the Goryeo Dynasty have developed a diversity of research subjects and synthesized research outcomes. Diverse understandings of the nature of society of the Goryeo Dynasty have come out in this process. In particular, the pluralistic society theory opens the stage for researchers to make free discussion in relation to the society of the Goryeo Dynasty. It is thought that the academic circles will establish its identity while concentrating on active discussion in the future. Accordingly, it is thought that subjects will be further actively discussed such as major bases for confirming the identity of the society of the Goryeo society which include the difference in the regime between its first period and its latter period, the base and identity of the royal authority, the hierarchy of the politico-social orider, foreign relations under the international order, the process of accepting foreign cultures and the resultant cultures of the Goryeo intellectual community, diverse aspects of Buddhism and faith and so on.
