Unlike the dashboard of a typical car, the instrument panel of the forklift represents only the running time without expressing the moving distance. The reason for this is that most of the work is done in place rather than moving due to the environmental conditions of the forklift. Therefore, the various components and consumables constituting the forklift have a replacement period according to the actual running time, not the moving distance of the forklift. However, since the work environment differs for each forklift truck, it is very difficult to determine the appropriate parts replacement cycle based on the simple operation time. In this paper, we propose an overall control system for forklift trucks by using GPS sensor of smartphone to collect location information and vehicle information of each forklift and connect to mobile communication network. By using the forklift control system, we can expect the economical and temporal benefit for the management and maintenance of the forklift truck by conveying information more easily to the state information which is difficult to judge by the existing instrument panel.
