The study suggests that moral narratives should be useful as a approach to some diseases of mental health. The Concerns of both morality and mental health overlaps some mental problems. Many researchers in mental health or psychotherapy take narrative approaches into their major tools for diagnosis and prescription of mental health disease. Narrative has been a major approach in virtue ethics and moral education, too. These fact makes this study exam the possibility that moral narratives could be used as tools for solving student's various mental problems. The study surveys lots of the mental health researches which use narrative therapy approaches. Two main trends are examined critically. Both cognitive constructionist narrative approach and social constructionist narrative approach seek for narrative coherence, though each goal and process of them are so different. However, only narrative coherence could not be warranted as a 'good' or 'complete' story which contribute to form a sound and normal personal identity. Some researchers in mental health demand that cognitive or critical narrative should embody its' practical and moral dimensions for its goodness. The study agrees to such suggestions and adds narrative developmental tasks to be applied to adolescents to them. The possibility that moral narrative could be useful to mental health problems make anticipating that narrative approach would be as a tool for ethical counseling or character education.
