This paper discusses Sejong Institute, the specialized organization promoting Korean language teaching and learning overseas, which has been continuously expanding since its establishment in 2007. In particular, the discussion focuses on Sejong Institute Hanoi 2 in Vietnam as an example of successful institute operation. In Chapter 2, we review in general the established results related to Sejong Institute and then examine previous studies on Korean language education and Sejong Institute in Vietnam. In Chapter 3, we look at the outline and the current operation conditions of Sejong Institute Hanoi 2, the subject of this study, and based on this, discuss in Chapter 4 the implications for future development plans. The significance of this paper lies in the fact that the work of finding and carefully understanding cases of successfully operated individual Sejong Institute centers can provide the basic material for strengthening the internal foundation of Sejong Institute centers around the world and for finding the form of Sejong Institute that is optimized for local circumstances.
