Chungam Kim Jeong(1486 ~ 1521) is a practitioner intellectual who has been victimized in the Confucian Reformation movement along with the Jo Kwangjo in the early 16th century. When he was appointed to the Sun-chang governor in 1515, he appealedt to claim the return of deposed queen lady Sin with Damyang governor Bak sang and Muan governor U ok but he was exiled.
He was appointed to many positions such as Doeungjii, Daesaheon Ijochampan at the young age. But He promoted an ideal politics by Confucianism with Jo Gwangjo, Gi Jun, Kim Sik and was entrapped by opposite parties. Finally,he was exiled to Jeju and sentenced to death at the age of 36 .
The ideal politics he pursued is the Confucian royal rule, which means correct politics based on human morality, truth, and justice. He suggested Hyeon ryang gwa to select good human resource. In addition, we strongly encouraged the Hyang yak to cultivate the local community.
