The purpose of this study was to synthesize previous study on the relationship between adolescents" internalizing problem and risk factors through meta-analysis. Studies from 2001 to 2015 in Korea were collected, of these studies 55 eligible studies were finally analyzed. Overall effect size, and each effect size according to individual factors, family factors, peer and school factors, and community environment factors were estimated. Data analysis were conducted in CMA(Comprehensive Meta Analysis).
Results were as followed. First, the overall effect size of risk factors was 0.306, which was medium effect size. Second, the effect size by sub category individual factors were the largest, next family factors, and peer and school factors were small effect size. The result of moderator analysis showed that according to the sub-type of internalizing problem Effect size of social anxiety was the largest and male was larger than female. Also, as recent studies had large effect size. No publication bias was found. The implication and limitation of this studies and the direction of future research were discussed.
