칸트에서의 도덕형이상학/윤리학, 법철학, 德이론 등의 학문이론적 관계는 오래 전부터 연구되어 온 주제이다. 칸트는 『순수이성비판』『방법론』에서 이 문제를 주제화하고 있지만, 그곳의 논의는 이론철학에 치중되어 있으며 상대적으로 실천철학의 건축술적 구조는 간과되어 있다. 이러한 부족한 부분을 논의하는 것이 이 논문의 의도이다. 칸트 실천철학의 경우 여러 분과들 사이의 관계가 명확하게 드러나지 않는 가장 큰 이유는 윤리학의 용어가 오늘날과는 달리 이해되고 있고 또 칸트 자신이 이중적으로 쓰고 있기 때문인 것으로 보인다. 이 논문은 『도덕형이상학』 「서론」의 논의를 분석함으로써 칸트 실천철학의 구조를 가장 일반적 차원에서 확정하고자 한다. 칸트 실천철학의 주저들 사이의 건축술적 관계가 밝혀진 다음에야 역사철학 종교철학 등의 문제가 그의 실천철학적 全체계 안에서 어떤 의의를 가지는 지가 올바로 논의될 수 있을 것이다. 이런 방향의 연구가 아직 초보적 단계에 머물러 있다는 생각에서 그를 위한 하나의 초석을 마련하고자 했다.
