The purpose of this study is to suggest image positioning strategy for each branch by analyzing branch selection factors for female officers and branch-images. We conduct pairwise comparison of AHP analysis and sort out eight main factors of branch selection reflecting the results of preceding studies for female army officers. As the result, ‘family life’ comes out to be the first priority among the factors. We also conducted similarity analysis, property assessment analysis and property size comparison utilizing multi dimensional-scaling to analyze female cadets’ perception for each branch. The result helps in apprehending several competing branches and understanding relative images depending on attributes of branches.
This study is meaningful in that it suggests positioning strategy reflecting the characteristics of relevant groups to branches that have conducted uniform promotion and education until now. Also, it is expected that if the samples were enlarged and the subjects were diversified, this study would be broadly used to seize the image of groups and be utilized as the basis of acquiring outstanding human resources for branches.
