The Army spends a lot of money to train cadets as second lieutenant because they are future elite officers who can lead the armed forces. In case of KAAY cadets, the actual cost of training per cadet for two years is 116.62 million won. Moreover, the training is costly in terms of time and manpower.
Therefore, the Army has to make good use of them. Furthermore, each of the Army branches has to put a lot of effort into recruiting elite officers, leading to the development of their branches.
Thus, the purpose of this study is to provide Army branches with information for recruiting elite officers in KAAY cadets. This study consists of three phases.
In the first phase, theoretical reviews were conducted on the Multi-dimensional Scaling, the Image Positioning, and the branch classification system. In the second phase, an empirical analysis was conducted using two surveys on the branch selection property of cadets. In the third phase, the Multi-dimensional Scaling analysis was conducted on the branch selection property of cadets in KAAY.
