This study is to analyze the internal structure of the small clause and has made investigation about understanding degree of the small clause. Also, another purpose of this paper is to analyze the educational entailment of small clause in English Grammar. There are three clauses, ordinary clause, exceptional clause, small clause, in English. Clause follows this structure, S'→COMP S, S→NP INFL VP. Therefore, small clause is a kind of clause, but it does not have INFL and copular in Government-Binding Theory. And small clause has two types. One is an adjunct small clause and the other is a complement small clause. The adjunct small clause is not subcategorized and is thematically independent, but the complement small clause is subcategorized and isn't thematically independent. As a matter of fact, small clause is not simple as the traditional grammar. Many English learners think small clause is very difficult and a kind of different sentence. They think that [O+OC] of [S+V+[O+OC]] is a small clause. Even though [S+V+[O+OC]] is a correct sentence, it is different from a small clause. Small clause must be considered a sentence to many English learners. However, the proper syntactic treatment of small clauses remains a matter of considerable debate and complexity. First of all, many English learners must understand the terms of small clause. There aren't many sentences having a small clause on the middle textbooks. So, they don't understand a small clause completely. In conclusion, small clause has to be considered a kind of sentence and used in writing and speaking more often to Middle School English learners.
