Since the end of 2010, when the first micro film Imminent Crisis was released on Sina Weibo, there has been a great upsurge in micro films in China, followed by its rapid development. Though the micro film has been improving in terms of their amount and variations, there are still many areas for improvement in their creation process, particularly on the narration.
Since the development of Chinese micro film is still at its early stage, it is still necessary to draw on the characteristics of others in the creation process. With the continuous influx of Hallyu, Korean are gaining popularity among Chinese audiences, especially Korean romantic comedies, which are known for their humorous and sentimental plots. This effect is what Chinese micro films need – a mix of romantic and comedic elements. Thus, this study will deeply analyze the combination of these two elements, so as to provide reference for the further development of Chinese micro film.
