The clothing system of the Silla had been completed the Dress and hat through taking in Silla"s one way and institutionalizing work. Around this time, Wa had frequently dispatched an envoy to the T"ang and Silla after the seventh century age preparing for the first system of the Dress and hat in the new appeared Yamato administration through a political change. Therefore, the relationship of both countries had been characteristic of what we call the dispatch of envoy as a hostage on the six hundred fourty-six year and six hundred fourty-nine year.
The description of "There is very similar to the clothing system of the Silla"must have seen reflected in the Chinese history the connection of the partnership with the Silla and Wa surrounding the T"ang. It is judgement that the clothing system of the Wa would had an influence with newly being repaired the Silla"s the system of dress and hat after the reign of the King Bubhung in a very close the relationship of both countries on the first half of the 7th century.
The Wa of dispatching an envoy the Chinese dynasty long ago has been the Kyushu"s Wa in very close area by the Korean Peninsula. The Wa"s envoy had accompanied by the Silla"s envoy on the first of the 7th century, and then this envoy.

6세기대 신라의 의복제는 당식 의관을 전면 수용하는 7세기 중반 이전까지 고구려와 백제는 물론 대중국교섭에 의해 여러 나라의 의관을 신라 나름대로 소화하여 제도화하는 작업을 거쳐 완성된 것으로 보인다. 신라와 왜국 야마토정권과의 공식적인 외교관계는 6세기후반인 560년에 비로소 이루어진다. 이후 7세기 초반에 접어들면서 동아시아의 정세변화에 따라 신라의 의복제는 왜국사신과 유학승들의 체류나 이동에 편의를 봐주는 등 매우 가까워진 양국의 관계 속에서 스이코천황대 왜국의 공복체계에도 영향을 주었을 것이다.
왜국에서는 7세기 초반 의관제가 처음 마련된 이후 645년에 정변을 통해 새로 등장한 대화정권이 빈번히 당과 신라에 사신을 파견하였다. 양국의 관계는 646년과 649년 왜국사신(高向黑麻呂 · 三輪君色夫)의 신라파견과 647년 대신 김춘추의 도왜 및 소위 질로서의 김다수(金多遂)의 파견 등으로 특징지어진다. 신분과 성별에 따라 조금씩 차이가 나는 신라의 관모나 유고제(襦袴制)처럼 왜국의 관모에도 깃이 있고 계급에 따라 선(襈)이 있는 통수(筒袖)의 반령단의(盤領短衣)에 허리띠를 두르고 바지를 착용한다거나, 상의와 바지 사이에는 넓게 주름을 잡아 두른 습(褶)이 있다거나, 여자의 경우 남자와 동일한 상의와 습이 보이며 바지 위에 치마를 입은 모습이 신라와 상당히 유사성을 보이고 있다.
『구당서』동이왜국전에는 왜국과 일본국을 구분하여 전자를 왜노국으로, 후자를 왜국의 별종이라고 각각 기술하고 있다. 그러면서 일본으로 국명을 바꾼 이유에 대해 그 나라가 태양의 근처(日邊)에 있기 때문이라고 설명한 뒤 혹은 왜국이라는 이름이 싫어서 고쳤다거나 혹은 일본이 옛 소국이었으나 왜국 땅을 병합하면서 생긴 것으로 각각 서술하고 있다. 이는 찬자가 703년(장안 3) 일본이란 국명을 사용하며 사신을 보내기 전까지 오래전 중국왕조에 가정 먼저 사신을 파견한 왜국이 한반도와 매우 가까운 큐슈 지역의 왜노국으로, 왜국의 별종을 일본으로 각각 인식하고 있었던 사실을 반영한 것이다.
그런데 왜노국이란 이름은 이미 왜국이 대혼란 과정 속에서 사라져 버렸기 때문에 7세기 초반 신라사신과 동행한 왜국사신은 엄밀히 따지면 왜노국의 사신이라고 볼 수 없다. 따라서 왜국의 의복제가 신라와 유사하다는 의미는 7세기 중반 이전 동아시아의 불안한 정세 속에서 신라와 긴밀했던 당나라 및 신라를 통해 학문승이나 사신과 서신을 당에 보낸 왜국과의 관계 속에서 왜국의 의복제를 전통적으로 고구려와 백제 의복의 영향을 받은 신라의 의복제와 비교하여 기술한 것이라고 생각된다.
