Report Errors
This study is an exploratory research for classifying civil society organizations by legal type. Every organization has its own purpose of establishment. Civil society organizations are no exception; every civil society organization has its purpose. To accomplish its purpose, the civil society organization must carry out social and economic activities, among others. In turn, activities consume resources, including human, material, financial, time and technological resources. Thus, a civil society organization should well create and utilize resources to generate competitive advantages needed for achieving goals, the success of which is largely dependent on how well to take an organization form, best-fitting for its own sake. All civil society organizations can be classified into three types: voluntary association, corporate body, and kindred organization. We analyze legal features of each individual organization type to help civil society organizations in identifying legal organization form suitable for their own individual needs when establishing organizations or changing existing legal organization forms.
