This paper will compare lexical entries of Manhan Tongwen Quanshu(滿漢同文全書, MH) and Daqing Quanshu(大淸全書, DQ) to investigate the features of lexical entries shown in MH. As many scholars have mentioned, these two dictionaries have a lot in common. However, they still show differences in a number of ways. First, aspect of lexical entries show differences; the order of twelve heads(Juwan juwe uju), the item arranging method, the containing standards of lexical entries and the method of Chinese interpretation, etc. Especially we can see the compiler of MH as a person who was well up in Manchu language by examining in the order of twelve heads and the method of Chinese interpretation. And the compiler of MH corrected errors of Chinese interpretation of DQ by referring DQ’s. Secondly, the features of the lexical entries are as follows: 1) A considerable number of entries in MH present vowel o in place of vowel ū appears in DQ and other dictionaries. Among them, tango and raho appear fairly regularly. The reason for this phenomena is MH’s compiler thought [ọ] which is a phonetic realization of ū as phoneme /o/, and applied it to the notation. 2) MH sometimes shows forms including ši in Manchu. This is because /si/ is palatalized in Manchu which MH’s compiler was speaking. 3) The floating i and iye appears in MH, and this shows the opposite features to the standard dialect. 4) In terms of grammatical aspect, MH barely uses genitive i, and uses appropriate grammatical markers in sentence entries.
