What‘s the mod ground of punishment of profession association for inner members? This essay is focused on self-regulation and moral responsibility of profession. It has been studied on ethical implication, conditions, and ideal of profession`s self-regulation. The basis of profession`s ethical responsibility is their autonomy and self-regulation. For example, profession has some ethical codes including some articles of membership dentification and disciplinary punishment for enhancing morality of members. Those codes are symbols and sources of moral responsibility of profession. Punishment imposed from profession`s association is deduced from these codes. There are mainly two kinds of approaches about moral meaning of disciplinary punishment. Utilitarianism insists the effectiveness of prevention members from another violations, while deontological ethicists does moral equilibrium. Anyway, I don`t thii that disciplinary punishment is the only way to enhance morality. Punishment itself is not the best way. And punishment -leading society is not so good. Moreover, punishment is justified only under examined conditions and informed consent. In my oppinion, punishment must be explained in the context of moral responsibility. And we know some types of responsibility. Aristotel would insist the importance of ascribing responsibility to behavior with some excusing conditions. And J. S. Mill said that responsibility is punishment. On the other hand, Christian ethicist H. R. Niebuhr propsed some defferent concept of responsibility. According to him, responsibility is the ability to respond to God. These days, W. Schweiker propose integated concept of responsibility in the age of post - modem and technology. Especially, we must not bypass the theological vision of responsibility of Chistian, ethics, namely responsibility justified before God, coram deo. Moral responsibility of profession must be praticed in integrated way. This essay tried to apply the subject of punishment or self-regulation of profession into the area of ministrial ethics. Of course, there are some debates whether ministial work is belong to profession or not. In my oppinion, it is the most important that ministers must be armed with high-level moral sensitivity in these days. In this meaning, punishment must be limited into the context of exactly examined conditions, and connected to the mod responsibility. Profession including ministers must be responsible to their autonomy of self-regularion, social role, and vocation.
