At Economics we assume that sales volume responds symmetrically to price change regardless price increase or decrease. That is, the price increases and price reductions have the same effect on sales volume at price response function. In this study, the researcher proposed the price response function incorporating the price increase change effect on sales volume and price decrease change effect on sales. Based on the price and shipment volume from stored apple’s trading data from Garak agricultural wholesale market, the researcher empirically estimated the integrated price response function. The results showed that the response to price increase was significant at segment level but at aggregate level. However, the price decrease effect was not significant to sales volume at segment level or aggregate level. Based on the results, the marketers for stored apple can get a chance to increase the profit from the shipment timing control from the warehouse to wholesale market.
