The purpose of this study is to examine the factors that influence the intensity of the impact of the charismatic leadership that a tennis coach has on the performance and contentment of players and finally to enhance the efficiency of training in the field. The data and materials used in this study are on the players belonging to college teams and business teams among who are registered in Korea Tennis Association as of 2007 and for the final analysis, 202 materials are used. As a statistical method for verification of the result, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis are adopted and the conclusions drawn are as follows: First, exemplary conducts, emphasis on group identification and expression of expectation and trust among charismatic leadership factors of a coach have a positive (+) impact on player`s performance. Second, vision suggestions among charismatic leadership factors that a coach may be equipped with have a positive (+) impact on the player`s contentment while exemplary conducts of a coach has a negative (-) influence. To summarize, it is proven that of the subordinate variables of a charismatic leadership, exemplary conducts, emphasis on group identification, and expression of expectation and trust have a positive impact on player`s performance while vision suggestions have a positive (+) impact but exemplary conducts have a negative (-) impact on player`s contentment. Therefore, a coach should make an effort to let players to have goals and hopes on their future. In addition, a coach has to demonstrate his/her leadership not on a biased or partial aspect but on comprehensive and multiple aspects and it is also suggested that a coach provide professional knowledge and communications on relevant information in advance rather than an exclusive emphasis on a training on players` skills.
