The purpose of this study was to analyse the relationship between the Korean professional volleyball head coach`s issue leadership, employee`s followership, and job satisfaction. More specifically, this study aimed to analyze the relative effects of issue leadership and followership on the job satisfaction of the players. Data were collected from a sample of 124 male/female players who was enrolled in the Korean Volleyball Federation(KOVO). The questionnaire method was used to collect the data. The statistical methods used for the analysis of this study were Pearson`s correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and path analysis. The results of this study were as follows: First, issue leadership was the effective variable on the followership of the employees. Especially, audience push was the effective variable on the independent idea, and issue pull and system power were the effective variables on the active behavior of the players. Second, issue leadership was the effective variable on the job satisfaction of the employees. Especially, audience push was the effective variable on the job-oriented satisfaction, and issue pull was the effective variable on the satisfaction of the players. Third, the followership was the effective variable on the job satisfaction of the employees. Especially, the active behavior was the effective variable on the job satisfaction of the players. Fourth, issue leadership had the direct influences on the job satisfaction of the employees as well as indirect influences via followership of the players.
